Online Leadership Presence Workshop For Hybrid & Virtual Work

Online Leadership Presence for the Hybrid Workplace

Hybrid and remote work have permanently changed what leadership presence means. The skills that commanded a room, physical bearing, eye contact, vocal authority,  do not automatically translate to a screen. At the same time, new challenges have emerged: Zoom fatigue is now a documented psychosocial risk, proximity bias systematically disadvantages remote workers, and AI-mediated communication is raising the bar for digital clarity and impact. This workshop addresses all of it.

Format

Duration: 90 minutes

Location: On-line only

Who Should Attend

This workshop is relevant for any professional whose work involves virtual or hybrid communication — which in 2026 means almost everyone. It is particularly valuable for:

  • Professional women seeking to strengthen their authority and visibility in virtual settings
  • Leaders and managers responsible for hybrid teams who want to model and promote inclusive virtual practices
  • HR and L&D professionals building leadership development programmes
  • Organisations whose teams regularly present to clients, boards, or senior stakeholders via video

What This Workshop Covers

online leadership presence workshop hybrid work virtual executive

This practical, interactive workshop gives professional women and their teams the tools to project authority, warmth, and credibility in every virtual and hybrid interaction. Drawing on the latest research in non-verbal communication, executive presence, and AI-mediated communication, it is designed for the way we actually work today.

The workshop covers eight core areas:

  1. Your Environment and Setup

Your background, lighting, and camera position communicate as much as your words. We cover how to create a professional, consistent virtual environment,  whether you’re in a corporate office, a home office, or moving between locations,  and how to use virtual backgrounds effectively without undermining credibility.

  1. Camera Presence and Eye Contact

Looking at the camera rather than the screen is one of the most powerful and most overlooked tools for projecting confidence and connection. We explore how to maintain natural, engaging eye contact in virtual settings and why this is especially important for women establishing authority in hybrid team environments.

  1. Posture, Body Language, and Non-Verbal Communication

In virtual settings, your visible body language is compressed into a small frame, which means every gesture, posture shift, and facial expression is amplified. We cover the key non-verbal signals that project status, authority, and warmth, and how to avoid the habits that unconsciously undermine your presence.

  1. Voice, Pace, and Delivery

Vocal quality and pacing have an outsized impact in virtual settings, where audiences tire more quickly and have fewer non-verbal cues to maintain engagement. We cover practical techniques for adjusting pace, managing pauses, and using inclusive check-ins to maintain connection across distributed teams, particularly important for women who have historically been penalised for communication styles that actually build engagement.

  1. Managing Virtual Fatigue in Your Audience

Virtual and hybrid meetings are cognitively demanding. Participants have to work harder to process information without the full range of non-verbal cues available in person. We explore how to structure your communication and use deliberate engagement techniques to keep your audience focused and your message landing.

  1. Dress, Colour, and On-Screen Presentation

Solid colours, considered contrast between your clothing and your background, and appropriate accessories all contribute to a polished on-screen image. We give practical, context-appropriate guidance on dressing for virtual professional success across different settings,  client meetings, internal calls, and public-facing presentations.

  1. Leadership Presence in AI-Mediated Communication

AI tools are now embedded in many virtual meeting platforms, from transcription and live captioning to AI-generated meeting summaries and sentiment analysis. Understanding how these tools process and represent your communication style adds a new dimension to professional presence that leaders need to be aware of and actively manage.

  1. Hybrid-Specific Challenges: Being In the Room and On the Screen

Hybrid meetings,  where some participants are in a physical room, and others are remote,  create unique dynamics that can disadvantage remote participants and reinforce proximity bias. We explore how to command presence and maintain equal influence, whether you’re in the room or on the screen, and how leaders can structure hybrid meetings to be genuinely inclusive.

What You Will Leave With

  • A clear, actionable framework for projecting executive presence in virtual and hybrid settings
  • Practical techniques for camera presence, posture, eye contact, and non-verbal communication on screen
  • Strategies for maintaining influence and visibility in hybrid meetings,  in the room and on screen
  • An understanding of how AI-mediated communication tools affect professional perception
  • Confidence to show up with authority and authenticity in every virtual professional interaction

The 3Plus Difference

Most online presence training treats virtual communication as a technical challenge. 3Plus International approaches it as a leadership and inclusion challenge. Our workshop is grounded in the research on gender and executive presence — the specific, documented ways in which women are held to different and often contradictory standards in professional communication.

We don’t just tell you what to do. We explain why certain behaviours are evaluated differently for women, help you make conscious choices about how you want to show up, and give you practical tools that work across the full range of hybrid and virtual contexts you navigate every day.
